In March 2022, Efficiency East Midlands (EEM) wrote to confirm that SBS’s submission for the EEM0046 Insulation and Associated Works Framework had been successful on all lots. The three lots comprise:
- Lot 1 Midlands
- Lot 2 East of England
- Lot 3 National Coverage
EEM’s decision means that we have been working with the organisation, on this and other frameworks, since 2013. Over that period, we have improved more than 3,500 occupied properties across the UK as a result of energy efficiency retrofit works, planned maintenance and repairs.
The work has been delivered on behalf of many different EEM member organisations – predominantly housing associations and local authorities, typically through direct call-off due to our long-standing reputation and experience.
The previous framework ran from August 2015 to April 2022. This latest framework will run until April 2026. Examples of works that it will cover include:
- External wall insulation (EWI), design, enabling and installation
- Exterior render and wall cladding systems
- EWI repair and maintenance
- Internal wall insulation design, enabling and installation
- Cavity wall insulation
- Retrofit floor insulation
- Loft insulation
- Attic/room-in-roof insulation.
- Retrofit energy efficiency measures to park homes.
- Associated works including windows and doors, roofing, guttering and ancillary works.
To meet funding scheme requirements, energy efficiency works will typically be required to be installed to PAS 2030:2019 / PAS2035:2019 standards by TrustMark registered contractors and retrofit service providers.
As explained in our energy efficiency retrofit brochure, clients can now utilise this framework to commission SBS directly to deliver LAD / SHDF / HUG-funded projects.
SBS can take responsibility for the end-to-end retrofit journey. This gives clients and project stakeholders the assurance that we will deliver compliance and meet TrustMark and specific funding requirements on all aspects of a retrofit and decarbonisation project.
We can act as Retrofit Project Manager, Principal Contractor, Retrofit Service Provider (Assessor, Coordinator, Designer) and Energy Efficiency Measure (EEM) installer, taking responsibility for end-to-end retrofit project management and delivery.
Our services include stock / asset and funding management, mixed tenure / private home acquisition, retrofit assessment / coordination / design services, and EEM installation.
